Soy Marina Alonso Caballero, He sido por treinta años psicoanalista. Convencida de que psicoanalizar era mi único amor. Casi diez años después, me salió al encuentro, como decía Picasso, el mosaico , no el bizantino que conocía de mis viajes al Viejo Mundo, sino un mosaico artístico actual, del que no tenía noticia y que descubrí jugando con piedritas, sobre una pintura que acababa de terminar. De a poco comprendí que esto era un nuevo amor, y sin embargo era la versión “artística” de lo que ha sido y es, la transformación que adviene en el analizado cuando se encuentra con un nuevo sentido para sus viejos aspectos rotos y enfermos.
ABOUT ME
I’m MAAC: Marina Andrea Alonso Caballero and I have been a Psychoanalist for 30 years . Psychoanalysis was my absolute love, so I thought. But I found Mosaic Art to be my destiny .One day, I discovered it playing around with some small stones on a painting that I had already finished. At that time I believed that creative impulse was an original idea and the only kind of true Mosaic Art was Byzantine. However, I did the research and I found the many different styles of modern Mosaic Art.
After some time I came to realize that I had been doing the same exact thing with my patients. In the sense that it’s a new way, an artistic way ,to do something beautiful with broken pieces because in the process of Psychoanalysis people transform the broken pieces of their lives into a new ,valuable versión of themselves. I think that to be an artist, to be able to créate something, is the best way to feel alive, to be alive.
